Title:
Application windows not redrawn, appears unresponsive
Status in compiz package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: xorg
Yesterday I upgraded to Natty. Unity was counterproductive for my
usage, so I switched back to gnome-classic interface. I haven't
reproduced this in unity. I didn't really try.
In normal use, application interfaces frozen very often. At first I thought this was an input problem, but if I resize a frozen window, I notice that it has accepted all my input and appears normal. So to me it seems that windows just fail to invalidate and/or redraw themselves.
This happens most often after alt-tabbing from application to another.
This is not consistent thought. I haven't been able to pin-point what exactly causes this.
I have been able to continue using an application every time it has
appeared frozen this way, after I resize the window. So, atleast that
seems consistent :P
I do understand that this might be a gnome problem and not X.org problem, but without further expertise I am unable to correctly address this bug report. Feel free to reassign as you see fit.
Thanks for the great work!
