Title:
gnome-terminal does not handle unicode HTTP links properly

Status in Gnome Virtual Terminal Emulator:
  Confirmed
Status in vte package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

http://➡.ws/ is a syntactically valid link, yet gnome-terminal does
  not treat it as such.

Ideally it would behave as any other link, with underlining and a
  special "open/copy" right-click menu.
