Title:
Default benchmarking options
Status in gnome-disk-utility package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
This bug is a opinion
When running a benchmark the write option should be opt-in for the sake of SSD, by accident i just wrote several hundred MB to my drive, it wasted the amount of space for a fresh install
writing to a ssd just wears them out, that should be noted next to the option
at the very least it should remember that it unchecked it last time
and not have it checked the next time
it is nice to see you can write benchmark a drive without deleting
everything, the data looks fine in the file manager, i hope i can
still boot
i whet through a week of getting my setup script just right to write a
little as possible when i installed this drive, just to waste a huge
amount of my write limit
