  I'm on a net using a proxy (squid) to get web access authenticated access.
  I have applied system wide proxy setting using the menu System→Preferences→Network Proxy with correct user/passwd authentication in it.

  When i try to use the youtube plugin in Totem i can get the video list
  but i can't view the video due a 407 authentication error

  Running totem by terminal i get:

  totem
  ** Message: Error: "http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=SuNprTu5Y5c&t=vjVQa1PpcFMvjyI--okeD6Ec5nzQxqNn-U0bqJzmt-w%3D": Proxy Authentication Required

  407 Proxy Authentication Required

  If i unset the proxy System→Preferences→Network Proxy i can get all
  working...
