Message #142844
[Bug 1505274] [NEW] Please provide upgrade to Catalyst 15.9
Public bug reported:
AMD released the Catlyist 15.9 update to the AMD driver several months
ago, but the driver has yet to be added to the repositories.
Some of the patches are no longer necessary, such as the OpenCL provides
patch to prevent dependency issues with some OpenCL dependent programs,
but I suspect those patches will not be an issue if left in.
The driver is tested and thus supported with kernel versions through
3.19.x and Xorg 1.17.x.
This means it should work with current V-Series releases and upgrade stacks without version compatibility patches.
Like the OpenCL dependency patch, it should do no harm to leave those patches in, and unlike the OpenCL dependency patch, it's probably a good idea to do so.
This patch provides several performance fixes and one known corruption
fix.

Other users should feel free add appropriate links to any bugs they know
this upgrade would fix.
