  I was installing Flash, Flash plugin for firefox, and VLC. It said I had to add the source from natty for Flash (unsure if this is what caused it to crash). For some reason, the older version of the software-center icon was showing, so I copied the newer one and replaced it by 'sudo cp /usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/apps/softwarecenter.svg /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps' (unsure if this makes a difference, but should point it out I guess).
