[Bug 1510819] Re: Xenial: evince (3.18.1-1ubuntu1) depends on gnome-icon-theme-symbolic while gnome-shell (3.18.1-1ububtu1) depends on adwaita-icon-theme
Thanks, that depends is coming from Debian, the bug should be reported to them
https://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/pkg-gnome/desktop/unstable/evince/debian/control.in
Also other desktops might not use adwaita and symbolic icons should
still be available there
** Changed in: evince (Ubuntu)

Title:
Xenial: evince (3.18.1-1ubuntu1) depends on gnome-icon-theme-symbolic
while gnome-shell (3.18.1-1ububtu1) depends on adwaita-icon-theme
Status in evince package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
In the DE gnome-shell there has been a switch from gnome-icon-theme-
symbolic to adwaita-icon-theme.
However, the new evince (3.18.1-1ubuntu1) in xenial depends now on gnome-icon-theme-symbolic while the new gnome-shell (3.18.1-1ububtu1) in xenial depends correctly on adwaita-icon-theme.
Also the evince in wily (3.16.1-0ubuntu1) depends correctly on adwaita-icon-theme.
So, the evince 3.18.1 should be rebuilt against adwaita-icon-theme.
This would prevent evince from pulling in gnome-icon-theme and humanity-icon-theme.
