Title:
  python 3.4 vs python 2.7 ??? package hplip-data 3.14.3-0ubuntu3.3
  failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-removal script returned

Bug description:
  I previously had problems loading software and the had to type the
  following to get it to work.

  
   setpython2.7  ! to revert default python 3.4 back to 2.7 

  ll /usr/bin/pyt*  ! test reversion worked then run the software update

  
  setpython3.4    ! return or reset to python 3.4 as default then test again to confirm

  That worked before and I stopped doing it when for several updates it
  did not appear to be necessary.
