I'm getting the same results on several laptops/desktops, all of which
have fresh installs of Ubuntu 15.10.

I installed a theme to see if that makes any difference. When using a
different theme (in my case Ambiance-zfusion-spring-pro), it seems like
the wrong asset/image is being used (see attached screenshot).

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the Software Centre.
2. Perform a search using the top right-hand text box.
3. Click the Install button for one of the search results.

  Not to be confused with bug 1052936, which is about a different
  rendering problem with the progress bar in the "Progress" section.

  Fixing bug 975497 might be one way of fixing this bug.
