Title:
The sound through my onboard soundcard sounds very disorted

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
The sound through my onboard soundcard sounds very disorted, it does not matter wether i turn the volume down or not (even all the way down), but it does stop when i "mute" the sound through the graphical user interface.
  I have alsa-base version 1.0.25+dfsg-0ubuntu5 installed.
I tried following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/UpgradingAlsa/DKMS, but unfortunately there are no packages for 15.10 yet.
