[Bug 1515554] Re: Using gedit to open a huge text file uses to much memory

 

Same file takes a longer time to load with nano in a terminal window,
but no crash and no message about not getting enough memory to use.

Bug description:
  I made a file by dumping an epk-file with hexdump and as I wanted to
  open the file with gedit it worked fine in the beginning, but then
  gedit seemed to run out of memory and therefore crashed, but no crash
  reporter could load.
