[Bug 1451632] Re: drm:intel_cpu_fifo_underrun_irq_handler [i915] - complete lockups


Please update on this I get the following error message for kernel
3.19.0-33-generic on ubuntu 15.04  64bit

[ 3.082605] [drm:intel_set_pch_fifo_underrun_reporting [i915]] *ERROR* uncleared pch fifo underrun on pch transcoder A
[ 3.082619] [drm:intel_pch_fifo_underrun_irq_handler [i915]] *ERROR* PCH transcoder A FIFO underrun

causing cyclic crash of system.

Same behavior is observed on ubuntu 5.10 64bit

Machine is occurs has  Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3555LE CPU @ 2.50GHz
processor and 8GB ram

Bug description:
  After updating to vivid, I'm experiencing lockups when visiting
  certain pages (not sure if it's flash-enabled) with chromium-browser.

  I see the following in the syslog matching the corresponding time (but
  don't know whether it's the cause):
