releasing code that fixes this issue imminently (next 24-48 hours).

Despite this, you performed an apport-collect against a virtual machine,
which is not designed to have the brightness lowered.

Hence, you would need to run this on a physical host (not virtual
machine), or mark this report at Invalid.

  Lowering  the brightness turns the monitor black in ubuntu 14.04

  whenever the screen brigthness is lowered using the function key the monitor turns black when we are at the lowest point of brightness. This problem exists in ubuntu 14.04
