[Bug 375761] Re: mismatch between libcups2 and libcups2-dev in karmic-x86_64

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates.

This was reported against a now obsolete release so I'm going to close
the report. If you still have this issue, please feel free to reopen it
or report a new bug on a supported release.

Title:
  mismatch between libcups2 and libcups2-dev in karmic-x86_64

Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: cups

The version of the package libcups2-dev in karmic is 1.3.9-17ubuntu1,
lower than the version in jaunty-update (1.3.9-17ubuntu3). Due to this
i failed to automatically install libcups2-dev since i previously
upgraded from jaunty with libcups2 yet installed. I had to manually
download the higher libcups2-dev from packages.ubuntu.com. I think
that this mismatch is also the cause of the failed compilation of the
openoffice-3.1 internationalization packages in karmic repos.

  Distro: karmic 64 bit
