Bug description:
  I upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10 because of this bug that has not been solved in Ubuntu 11.04 (this bug do not affect Ubuntu 11.10) :
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/727620

  I tried to install ATI proprietary driver in 11.10, restart
  computer... and Unity 2D start, but no Unity 3D. Finally only free
  graphic driver works correctly to gets 3D and desktop fx.

  This bug also affect Ubuntu 11.04 .
