  gedit hanging open save dialog

Status in gedit package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  sometimes when i want to open or save a file, even a small one, gedit does hang,
  while i still can drag the open/save dialog gedit itself doesn't progress any more
  and i only can close it via system-monitor

  it seems to be a more bigger bug because it did happen for me with
  evolution while saving mail attachments too
