[Bug 1521615] [NEW] gedit-3.10.4: mouse pointer hides and flickers when Control key is pressed

When I open gedit and press the control key, the cursor get invisible.
It only shows when I move the mouse by flickering.

As you can imagine this is very annoying as the Control key is used as a
shortcut key to copy, cut, paste, save, etc.
