[Bug 1252909] Re: Nautilus takes no notice of my selection in File --> Properties

Upgraded to Trusty and there is no change. Choosing "Properties" (this
time from the little gear icon in the top right) gives me the properties
of the directory I'm browsing, rather than the selected entry. Or is
this the intention?

Title:
Nautilus takes no notice of my selection in File --> Properties

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  1. Select directory.
  2. Go to File --> Properties.
  3. Nautilus shows properties of the wrong thing.

Nautilus doesn't appear to have any idea what it's doing.

Cut and Copy are also not an option so I've had to revert to the
  command line!

  Screenshots attached.
