Bug description:
  Binary package hint: rhythmbox

  Using Intrepid (originally installed pre-Beta).

  Firefox 3.1 was running with various tabs open/video stream playing.

  Checked for updates via Update Manager. Rythmbox install crashed.

  Could not open terminal. Rebooted.

  Ran sudo dpkg --configure -a
         sudo aptitude update
         sudo aptitude safe-upgrade
         sudo aptitude dist-upgrade

  All updates now installed Ok and Update Manager works again.
