Title:
copy a folder to usb drive, doesn't copy files in correct order

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
if you right click on a folder (lets say full of mp3's) > copy and the
paste it onto your mp3/flash drive, it doesn't always copy the files
in the sort order- so it may copy "track 04" first.

on the other hand, if you open up the folder and select all the files
first, then copy and paste, it then copies in the correct order

so why should that be a problem you ask?

Two of my mp3 players inc a Sony don't use Id3 tags to sort files,
  they use folders instead

and for some reason, they both play the files in the order that you copy them. So if I copy 3 mp3's in the following order
  02 a certain song
  03 a certain song
  01 a certain song

that's the order they will play in.

now when you listening to audio books, for obvious reasons, the files
need to play in the correct order.

so if Im copying 5 folders each containing mp3's, I have to go into
each folder> select all > copy > go onto the mp3 player > create
folder > enter folder > paste > wait till it has finished copying and
repeat. It would be so much easier if we could just copy the root
folder and paste that, secure in the knowledge that it will copy every
  file in the correct order
