[Bug 1489129] Re: 100% gs CPU usage, slow printing of PDF files

I just noticed two GS processes taking 100% of CPU load, no printer
installed, only one PDF file open and one Octave plot output. The CPU
temp was reaching 90oC, so with top I found two GS processes.

Title:
100% gs CPU usage, slow printing of PDF files

Status in ghostscript package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Recently, larger-ish PDF files are printing very slowly.

  This PDF, for example: http://cdn.sazs.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03
  /Corporate-Formal-Banquet-Menu-2014.pdf

Printing to any printer, the process gs will occupy 100% cpu for
several minutes before the print job is actually sent. During this
time an error will appear in a notification bubble that states
  "[printername] may not be connected"

The job will eventually print. On older systems this same document
takes half an hour to print.
