[Bug 1326460] [NEW] Sync between computers not initializing on first device

On original laptop, when I try to start sync between computers, nothing
happens, no logon request, nothing. target machine appears to work fine,
and is ready to go. This computer always has an error on startup, even
after installing 14.04 ubuntu. Reported a nuber of times.
