[Bug 1476655] Re: need PCL6 and new PS PPDs for HP Color Laserjet 2605dn

The problem here is that printer-driver-postscript-hp provides 3 identical PPD with the same *NickName: "HP Color LaserJet 2605 Postscript (recommended)" while it should differentiate between 2605/2605dn/2605dtn.
In cups webinterface 3 identical PPD entries are shown while system-config-printer only shows one under 2605 and since the Foomatic/Postscript 2605dn is more specific this one is (incorrectly) matched.

$ lpinfo -m | grep 2605
foomatic-db-compressed-ppds:0/ppd/foomatic-ppd/HP-Color_LaserJet_2605-Postscript.ppd HP Color LaserJet 2605 Foomatic/Postscript
postscript-hp:0/ppd/hplip/HP/hp-color_laserjet_2605-ps.ppd HP Color LaserJet 2605 Postscript (recommended)
postscript-hp:1/ppd/hplip/HP/hp-color_laserjet_2605-ps.ppd HP Color LaserJet 2605 Postscript (recommended)
postscript-hp:2/ppd/hplip/HP/hp-color_laserjet_2605-ps.ppd HP Color LaserJet 2605 Postscript (recommended)
foomatic-db-compressed-ppds:0/ppd/foomatic-ppd/HP-Color_LaserJet_2605dn-Postscript.ppd HP Color LaserJet 2605dn Foomatic/Postscript

Reassigning to hplip.

Title:
need PCL6 and new PS PPDs for HP Color Laserjet 2605dn

Status in HPLIP:
  Confirmed
Status in hplip package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
The only PPD for 2605dn is Foomatic/Postscript. Each time I install
this printer, I must change the model for 2605 and then choose the
recommended Postscript PPD to have correct resolution and color
options for this printer (e.g. ProRes 1200, ImageRET 2400).

Since 2605dn is only a 2605 with duplex and network, it should have
the same default PPD and the same choices.

Also, a PCL6 PPD (with adequate resolution and color options) is
needed for this printer. Maybe as a default, since Postscript is
hideously slow sometimes (like bug #1095498). Actually, I have
installed a generic PCL6 with Guntenprint and a HP2500 with hpcups.
With these, the printer is quick but I only have monochrome output.

Ubuntu 14.04 (actually Linux Mint 17.2)
  system-config-printer-gnome 1.4.3+20140219-0ubuntu2.6
  system-config-printer-common 1.4.3+20140219-0ubuntu2.6
  system-config-printer-udev 1.4.3+20140219-0ubuntu2.6
