Title:
precise: downloading / saving files always fails
Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
On Precise 12.04.1 since the latest update to
43.0-build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 downloading or saving of files doesn't
work. Showing PDFs with the internal viewer does work but as soon as i
click on 'save' the download manger says failed. The same happens if i
use 'Save link as'. This happens with any file types (tested with pdf,
mp3, mp4, iso). Some types such as Ogg/Video which are supported by
Firefox directly can be watched/shown but using 'Save link as' doesn't
work either.
It seems the builtin download manager is broken on Precise since the
update. Using the plugin Downthemall works as expected.
