That version is no more supported; and no expecting backport as it only
concern 'security' problem.

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  There is no sound on new Dell M6600 with Ubuntu 10.04.
  I have my reasons not to upgrade to a higher version of Ubuntu.

  I called ubuntu-bug audio an assume that all relevant information has
  been gathered and attached to this bug report.
