[Bug 1415188] Re: DuckDuckGo search plugin is outdated
FYI Debian removed their previously included DuckDuckGo search engine in
favor of the one included upstream. Might want to do the same for
Ubuntu.

mozilla/iceweasel.git/commit/debian?id=98aeb1feb002af9d286bf6de56535cd53e48290b
In addition to the search engine suggestions, additional interesting
changes have been included as well.

Title:
DuckDuckGo search plugin is outdated
Status in One Hundred Papercuts:
Confirmed
Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
It seems that Ubuntu overrides Firefox's DuckDuckGo search plugin with
a version that doesn't support search suggestions.
e.g. I receive this file:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mozillateam/firefox/firefox.utopic/view/head:/debian/searchplugins/en-US/duckduckgo.xml
While Mozilla already includes their own DuckDuckGo search plugin which supports search suggestions:
https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/bf58b2c55797/browser/locales/en-US/searchplugins/ddg.xml
