Title:
"Disable Touchpad While Typing" should be available at GDM level
Status in GDM: The Gnome Display Manager:
Won't Fix
Status in Mactel Support:
New
Status in “gdm” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
The "Disable Touchpad While Typing" option works really well for me
during Gnome sessions, however, it would be nice if this setting would
be available at GDM login time. Currently, whenever I try to type my
password in GDM the overly sensitive MacBook Pro touchpad reacts to my
hovering thumbs and thus steals the focus from the password prompt. As
you can imagine, this is getting old really quick. :)
