Title:
libreoffice aborts or stops on splash

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Sometimes libreoffice just freezes on splash (startup), sometimes it
aborts, however it never works. In other words: I cannot use
libreoffice at all. I don't remember when it happened the first time,
but I did not have this problem until sometime after the upgrade to
  natty.

Even after enabling apport, there was no crash report, so I called
apport-bug on the frozen soffice.bin. It might be that oosplash.bin is
  the culprit.
