[Bug 1176497] Re: Can't connect to wired network after disconnect manually

 

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates.

I'm going to close this bug report as their is nothing else we can do
with this old report in a now unsupported version of Ubuntu.  If you
still have this issue on Ubuntu 14.04 or higher, please do reopen or
report a new bug.

Title:
  Can't connect to wired network after disconnect manually

Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I have two Ethernet connections with different cloned mac addresses
  (first I'm using at my apartments, another at my parents' apartments).
  So, when I put Ethernet cable into port, Ubuntu trying to connect to
  the last used connection. If I need another connection, I'm pressing
  "Disconnect" and I see that this connections unavailable (gray text
  and I can't select it). So, I must to disconnect cable, then connect
  it again and quickly select manually connection.
