Title:
  pidgin seemed to slow right down, then failed to display messages,
  then crashed

Status in pidgin-libnotify package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: pidgin

  Basically the program got quickly slower and then stopped letting me
  see new messages, if i minimized and conversation and got it back it
  would be a completely blank box and same happened with buddy list, and
  then it just crashed out with apport.
