[Bug 1537410] [NEW] When GIMP is in single-window mode, it should allow you to maximize the window - feature request

Public bug reported:

When in single-window mode, if one is to move the window slightly to one
side, then it is hard to get it properly maximized again by changing the
window's size manually and moving it around, so I think that it would be
really useful for at least when it is in single-window mode for there to
be a "maximize" button as currently only the "minimize" and "close"
buttons are provided.

I am running GIMP 2.8 on Ubuntu GNOME 15.10 with GNOME 3.18.

** Affects: gimp (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
