With latest image,
I cannot reproduce this issue, after unplug USB keyboard, internal virtual keyboard is working well.

Bug description:
  Steps:
  connect a USB keyboard 
  Use for a bit
  Disconnect keyboard
  try using the onboard keyboard

  Result:
  The keyboard starts producing random touch events as soon as you try to use it.
