Title:
gnome-volume-control crashed with SIGABRT in raise()

Status in gnome-media package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-media

I had started mpd, but it couldn't connect to ALSA or pulseaudio. Then
I played with the speaker tests for the different hardware outputs in
gnome-volume-control. mpd started to work after I switched to a
digital output, but when I switched back to the analog output, gnome-
  volume-control crashed.
