There is no support on such deprecated version; that one has died long
time ago.

Title:
  apport-cli does not shorten an URL when suggesting to copy it to
  another computer.

Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: apport

  I quote an apport-cli output:

  <quote>
  *** To continue, you must visit the following URL:

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aptitude/+filebug/redacted0PbFK9kzx11B98ssV3v?field.title=aptitude+assert+failure%3A+%2A%2A%2A+buffer+overflow+detected+%2A%2A%2A%3A+aptitude+terminated

  You can launch a browser now, or copy this URL into a browser on
  another computer.

  Choices:
    1: Launch a browser now
    C: Cancel
  Please choose (1/C):1
  </quote>

  It would be nice if apport-cli shortened the URL automatically (if the
  appropriate libraries are installed) so that users don't have three
  liners of URL to "copy into a browser on another computer".
