[Bug 840454] Re: Power preferences does not have an option for Laptop Lid Close behavior
Power settings in Oneiric seem to be missing a Lot of options.
you cant avoid hibernating/suspending anymore when you close the lid.
this is really bad, specially when you are connected in AC power
downloading updates or an ISO image and it stops the download and goes
into sleep...
they need to work on the power and display stuff, else it will be a step
down from natty.
and this should not be tagged as a "wishlist", every desktop has this
feature (gnome2, kde , even windows). For many this is very important.
And for some people this is critical, since their hardware does not
support well sleep or hibernating..

Bug description:
In 11.10 Beta, I do not see a way to set the computer to stay on when
the lid is closed. I often close the lid when listening to music or
working on an external screen with mouse and keyboard.
