Calendar fails.  When run from terminal, the following is seen:
(process:3412): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed
[calBackendLoader] Using libical backend at /home/barry/.thunderbird/xd2rjl8y.default/extensions/{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}/components/libical-manifest
Error: Can't create calendar for 8da5f1b2-3dfb-4381-be2d-f25e2a8d0e73 (storage, moz-storage-calendar://): TypeError: invalid 'in' operand this.mRefreshTimer
failed opening offline store for mailbox://ubuntu.barry%40gmail.com@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/Inbox

Also, there are problems with a couple of local folders - the message
says there is an operation taking place, when there is not.
