Message #159879
[Bug 1540980] [NEW] Cinnamon Menu Editor, copy/cut paste items not working correctly
Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 15.10, cinnamon 2.6.13-1ubuntu2, alacarte 3.11.91-2. Using the
Menu Editor applet (right-click menu icon > Configure > Open the Menu
Editor), I've noticed that when I copy a menu entry (using the Menu
Editor applet) and paste under another sub-menu, it does do the copy,
but it also makes a second copy in the original location.
Sometimes, when I then remove the duplicate entry from the original
location it also removes the entry from the target location.
If I 'cut' instead it does not make a second copy, but neither does it
remove the original entry.
Sometimes, when I 'cut' from the original location, then go to a new
menu entry to paste, I find that my paste option is no longer
highlighted. When I return to the original location to try again, the
original entry is gone (this just happened when I tried to move gnome-
terminal to a different location. In this case gnome-terminal is nowhere
to be found under any menus).
** Affects: alacarte (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
