I just tried another update && upgrade.
Many packages were updated. 

But the problems with
 libutempter0:i386
 xterm
 xubuntu-core
 xubuntu-desktop
remain.

After a reboot, I tried another update && upgrade. Now I get messages
about hashes not being matched:

indexbestanden is mislukt. Deze zijn of genegeerd, of er zijn oudere
versies van gebruikt.
