[Bug 712702] Re: xfreerdp stops responding to keyboard input for no apparent reason

I realise this is an old bug, hopefully this is of help:

I run Xfreerdp on Ubuntu Gnome, X64, 15.10. I use xfreerdp to maintain
a rdp session to a Windows 10 machine, primarily in full screen mode.

Several times per day my keyboard becomes unresponsive, and/or the mouse
does not work or does only work on some parts of the screen. This is why
I think this might be the same bug.

When this happens I find that Ubuntu has generated a notification
message on the ubuntu desktop: Updates available, and mail notifications
mostly. It seems as if the focus is lost and can't be regained anymore.
I do see the terminal from where the rdp session was started react to
keyboard input though.

Most often CTRL+Enter does not work anymore when this happens, but if it
does it is enough to regain the focus. Otherwise CTRL+C will end the
session, and that mostly works.

Title:
xfreerdp stops responding to keyboard input for no apparent reason

Status in freerdp package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
For no apparent reason, xfreerdp stops responding to keyboard input
but does still respond to mouse clicks and gestures. The workaround is
to close the xfreerdp window and reconnect to the server as the same
user. Upon reconnecting, everything works as expected (until keyboard
is lost again). This happens to me several times a day when connecting
from Ubuntu Lucid 32-bit to Windows 7 Professional
