[Bug 1518516] Re: ubuntu session option "Show the menus for a window > In the windows title bar" loses menus in gedit
BronsonMathews,
running "unity" from terminal helped me to return menubar to nautilus and evince, but not to gedit. Can you try it, please? (you may need to run it twice).

The option is global & gedit can't be excluded nor show it's menus if the option is enabled
