[Bug 1547043] [NEW] 4k Support not working

Public bug reported:

4k support of my Lenovo X250 with and without docking station does not work.
Ubuntu offers 4k resolution but my display keeps black.

I can reproduce this bug with Dell P2415Q and Dell P2715Q connected via Mini DisplayPort and DisplayPort (Dock).
The most recent 16.04 build fails the same way.
