[Bug 1292282] Re: background transparency is not working on gnome terminal

My Gnome terminal also has a solid background on launch, and only by
either tweaking settings or using the Help -> About workaround will
bring the transparency back. Has been driving me crazy for a few
releases now. :(

Bug description:
The "transparent background" option of the gnome terminal is not
working properly, the screen background turns black instead of
transparent when a solid color is used as backgoround and if an image
is being used it will only be visible when the bar is set to none,
otherwise it will return to the last solid color selected. I'll attach
  scrrens on both cases.
