Title:
[feature-request] Website/webpage for suggesting additions to the
software-center
Status in Ubuntu Developer Portal:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: software-center
No official system exists for suggesting/submitting software to the
Ubuntu repositories, Canonical Partners repository, and the "For
Purchase" section in Ubuntu Software Center.
I am suggesting that a web page is setup (conforming to the
Ubuntu/Canonical design specification, and targeting developers and
enterprise) to allow developers to submit software for download in the
Software Center.
Currently developers and companies are confused as to how to get
Canonical's attention and some just dont know that they can easily get
their software included in Ubuntu's various repositories.
The webpage could be something like canonical.com/suggest or
canonical.com/submit and it should follow the look of canonical's
website. It should also be easy to access from ubuntu.com and
canonical.com - with a link like "get your software into Ubuntu".
