  3) What is expected is when one performs at the Terminal:

  cd ~/Desktop && wget
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/668079/+attachment/1714992/+files/OObug_RotatedText.ods
  && localc -nologo OObug_RotatedText.ods

  and the cells with "shrink to fit", rotated 90 degrees, are visible as
  they are in Microsoft Office Excel Viewer.

  4) What happened instead is the cells show no content unless Vertical
  Alignment is set to 'Bottom".

  WORKAROUND: Use Gnumeric.
