Title:
Fonts styles selection can't be applied
Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Status in “openoffice.org” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
1) Ubuntu 10.04 Gnome 32
2) Openoffice 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1
3) What is expected to happen is when one uses text from the following
fonts:
DéjàVu (TTF)
Nimbus Sans (PS-Type1)
Minion-pro
Myriad-pro (OTF from Adobe)
GilliusADF
GilliusADF N°2
TribunADF
NeoGothisADF
ElectrumADF
UniversalisADF (OTF from Arkandis Digital Foundry)
highlight the text -> secondary click the text -> move the mouse icon
over Styles -> click one of the styles, the style is applied.
4) What happens instead is that the chosen style is not applied.
WORKAROUND: Use LibreOffice.
Reporter comments:
- Same problem with Openoffice 3.2.1 on Mandriva-KDE 32
- No problem in OpenOffice 3.2.1 on Windows 32
These fonts use font naming specifications by collection. This not affects the use of these fonts with Scribus (any OS)
