Title:
Nautilus unable to mount external disks - says not authorized to admin
user
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Basically after upgrading my beta of 11.10 today I am no longer able
to click on an external hard drive to mount it. This was working
before whatever updates came down 9/14-9/15. It says not authorized in
the bottom of the dialog after displaying the message Unable to Mount
Diskname. I have an administrator user account that is automatically
logged in. Shortly after logging in the keychain password dialog pops
up but this doesn't affect the ability to mount external hard drives.
1. Description: Ubuntu oneiric (development branch)
Release: 11.10
2. nautilus:
Installed: 1:3.1.90-0ubuntu3
Candidate: 1:3.1.90-0ubuntu3
Version table:
*** 1:3.1.90-0ubuntu3 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
3. I expected it to mount the external disks either automatically or when I clicked on them through the nautilus interface.
4. It gave me the error above "Unable to mount Diskname" Not authorized."
Rebooting has had no affect on this.
