Thanks for reporting this error, and we're sorry we didn't get to it
earlier.

I just tried installing Vuze in trunk r2338, and it worked fine. The
code has changed a lot since your report. So it's quite likely this
problem has been fixed anyway. Ubuntu Software Center will be better off
if engineers spend their time investigating problems that people have
been reporting more recently.

If you still do experience the problem, please reopen this report and provide any error output:
1. close Ubuntu Software Center, if it's open already
2. enter the command "software-center" in a Terminal window
3. trigger the error
4. copy any error output from the Terminal window, and paste it into this bug report.

Title:
  Ubuntu Software centre hangs as soon as download is complete,
  indicating "applying chanches"

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: software-center

  it is happening frequently that when i install software through
  software centre, that it downloads the software, but then fails to
  install it completely. it hangs with message "Applying changes", in
  his case i am installing Vuze, but it happened with other packages as
  well.

  Previously i got it fixed by rebooting, running Update mamager and re-
  installing same software, i will do the same again.
