Title:
openoffice not rotating eps files correctly
Status in The OpenOffice.org Suite:
Confirmed
Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Status in “openoffice.org” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
I have noticed the following problem for quite some time (years) in
OpenOffice.org:
If you insert and EPS figure into a drawing or presentation document
and then rotate the figure from inside OpenOffice, it looks fine on
the screen and when you do Export to PDF, but when you print (e.g.,
print to PDF) the figure will not be rotated, but rather it will be
unrotated, but squished to fit into the space of the rotated figure.
This can be very annoying for using openoffice to write papers for
publication.
Linux 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Fri Jul 11 23:41:49 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
Ubuntu 8.04.1 with all the updates
openoffice.org 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2
To reproduce:
1) Create a new openoffice drawing
2) Insert an eps figure
3) Print the document, potentially using the PDF generator print spool.
