Message #16918
[Bug 129185] migrating packaging from OpenOffice.org to Libreoffice
[This is an automated message.]
There are no new official OpenOffice.org releases in Ubuntu packaging anymore => Won't Fix
If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project
Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that
has not happened already.
Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to
allow cross pollination.

Title:
[upstream] [3.2] cell named 'rho' doesn't evaluate correctly
Status in The OpenOffice.org Suite:
Fix Released
Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Status in “openoffice.org” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
Create a new spreadsheet.
In A1, enter 'rho'.
In B1, enter 1
Select A1 and B1 then select Insert --> Create names --> Left column --> OK.
Move down to B5 and enter (no quotes): '=rho'
Cell B5 evaluates to 0, not 1 as it should.
I would regard this as really quite a serious bug, given how automatic
the use of names in spreadsheets is for some users.
Bug is possibly related to the 'R1C1' method of referring to cells.
Am reporting here first, as in the past I have reported bugs in OOo
that have turned out to be distro-specific.
Cheers
JP
