If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project
Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that
has not happened already.

Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to
allow cross pollination.

  PDF importer doesn't import PDFs generated by ps2pdf

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: openoffice.org-pdfimport

  After installing openoffice.org-pdfimport, not one of oodraw,
  ooimpress, or oowriter can open PDFs output by ps2pdf. Attempting to
  open a PDF leads to a modal dialog box with the message, "General
  Error. General input/output error," and an "OK" button.

  After the dialog is dismissed:

  If the program was launched with a PDF file as an argument, the
  program then closes.

  If the file was opened from a running instance, the program continues
  as though nothing happened.

  The PDFs generated by ps2pdf are PDF version 1.4. If PDFs are
  generated by ps2pdf13 or ps2pdf12, they can be imported into oodraw as
  expected.

  It is expected that:

  1. A more detailed error message be printed (like, "This plugin
  supports PDF versions x, y, and z. The documented you tried to open
  does not appear to be one of these versions.").

  2. The plugin properly handle version 1.4 PDFs generated by ps2pdf.
